Angel Sanchez

Angel Sanchez was born on May 18, 1983 to immigrant parents both born in Mexico. He graduated from Cholla High School in 2001. From there Angel attended Pima Community College where he was able to find his true self and identity. He took a Chicano History class that helped him understand himself and his roots better. Angel then joined the M.E.Ch.A organization and became the co-chair within a year. Through M.E.Ch.A he became involved in his community and provided many services to the public and the college. He worked at Pima Community College as a writing tutor for four years, where he assisted students at all levels with anything pertaining to writing and the writing process. Angel graduated from Pima Community College in 2004 and attended the University of Arizona where he majored in English Education for one and a half years but was unable to complete his degree due to personal circumstances. It is Angel’s goal to continue to pursue his education and complete his degree. Angel’s life goals are to continue the work that he is doing in his state and community and eventually become an elected official.
