Gabrielina Polanco

Central Pennsylvania Field Organizer

Gabrielina Polanco originally hails from Tamboril, Santiago in the Dominican Republic. In the Dominican Republic Gabrielina graduated from La Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra of Santiago, Republica Dominicana. Gabrielina has lived in the United States for more than 20 years. In the Dominican Republic Gabrielina managed an insurance company for five years.

Gabrielina's past work experience includes working at La Guardia Airport in New York and Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania. In 2005, Gabrielina was hired to lead an anti-smoking campaign where she organized groups to help Latinos stop smoking in three counties. Gabrielina currently lives in the Reading, Pennsylvania area with her husband and twin sons, Ricardo and Alberto. Gabrielina joined the staff of Democracia USA in August 2006 as a field organizer. She was quickly promoted to group captain and eventually was hired as field organizer. Under Gabrielina’s leadership the Central PA office of Democracia USA has registered over 33,000 voters.
